Croeso (Welcome) from all of us in Torfaen!

Torfaen is slap bang in the middle of some of the most famous attractions in Wales, perfect!  From the centre of Torfaen, Cardiff city is just 20 minutes in the car or hop on the train to get you there in no time at all.  Let us also inform you of the 'warm Welsh welcome' you'll receive and wonderfully friendly people that you'll meet, around 93,000 of us !!!  You'll discover three towns within Torfaen - Cwmbran, Pontypool & Blaenavon all individual from one another.

Cwmbran (Cwmbran - Valley of the Crow) with its great undercover shopping centre, community farm, local brewery, canals, theatres and free parking, this new town is situated within the historic boundaries of Torfaen & Monmouthshire.

Pontypool (Pont-y-pwl - Pit Bridge) has a beautiful park (with festivals in it too!) a leisure centre, golf clubs, loads of historic landmarks and we still boast about the legendary Pontypool Front Row of the 1970's!

Blaenavon (Blaenafon - Source of River) is a World Heritage Site high on a hillside.  The walking and cycling routes available will allow you to discover the museums, monuments, quirky little shops (one makes award winning cheeses - they're lovely!) art galleries and more!

Collectively the towns and surroundings in Torfaen are stunning, there's a mass of things to keep you busy and the views are tidy too!
